I don’t know about you but keeping up with the technology is driving me crazy. Just when I have learned to get up on Facebook and Tweet, there is some new upgrade or new fanged thing to learn. I call it the “Entrepreneurial Overwhelm”. I am still building and changing my website, for god’s sakes. There is always something to do. My group of entrepreneurial friends are always calling and asking me what I have accomplished and shooting around new ideas for bringing in more clients. What I have learned is you need to limit yourself to 3 ways of marketing. KISS—Keep it Simple Sweet Heart. Everybody wants to jump on the web, create informational products with the promise of making Millions with a push of a button. (Bull-Shit) The best and sure way to build your business is one-on-one or speaking in front of groups of people. Networking and meeting clients and building the know, like and trust factor.
I was at a friend’s birthday party last night. She had an impromptu gathering at her amazing “work house” (I liken it to Disneyland on Steroids). Iris runs the Woman’s Investment Club of the O.C. There I re-connected with an old friend. When we shared what we both had been doing, we suddenly realized I could offer his clients a service that they had been asking him about so he could serve them even better!!! WooHoo. He agreed to send me his best clients, single moms looking to start businesses for themselves and work from home. That’s a perfect world. Sliding down the pool slide into a salt water pool and re-connecting with an old friend and helping each other with our business and serving our clients! How Does It Get Any Better Than This.
